Email [email protected]. We aim to reply within 14 days. Complaints always get a reply within 14 days (terms, section 19). Requests about your personal data, such as a copy of it or a correction, go to [email protected] and follow the privacy notice (section 7): we reply within one month.

Common questions

How many ideas can I read for free? 5 new ideas a day. Re-reading ideas you have finished is always free. The terms, section 4, explain exactly how ideas are counted: upken.app/terms.

Do I need an account? No. You can use Upken as a guest. A guest's progress is tied to this phone, so sign in with your email if you want to keep it when you change phones (Settings > Account).

How do I change or turn off notifications? Settings > Notifications has a switch for each type, and the daily reminder time is on your Profile.

How do I delete my account? In the app: Profile > Settings > Account > Delete account. No longer have the app? See upken.app/delete-account.

How do I switch off usage statistics? Settings > Privacy > Usage statistics. See the privacy notice: upken.app/privacy.

Something in an idea is wrong, unlawful, or infringes my rights. See the content policy: upken.app/content-policy. Rights complaints go to [email protected]. We take content down within 24 hours of a credible rights complaint or a credible report of unlawful content while we look into it.

Pro and subscriptions

Can I buy Pro? Not yet. Pro is not on sale yet, and the app will tell you when it is. Until then everyone uses Upken free. The answers below about Pro apply from the day it goes on sale.

How do I cancel Pro? One tap in Upken (Settings > Upken Pro > Manage subscription) opens your store's subscription page, where you cancel. Or go there yourself:

• iPhone: Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions > Upken > Cancel Subscription, or apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
• Android: Google Play > your profile picture > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > Upken > Cancel, or play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.

Deleting the app or your account does not cancel Pro.

When does the free trial end? The trial lasts 14 days. Upken reminds you on your phone 2 days before your first payment; if notifications are off, you see the reminder in the app the next time you open it. To pay nothing, cancel in time: on an iPhone at least 24 hours before the trial ends, on Android before it ends.

Can I get a refund? Payments are taken by Apple or Google, so refunds go through them under their own policies. With the free trial, cancel before it ends and you pay nothing. See the terms, section 8: upken.app/terms.

I changed phones and lost Pro. Sign in with the same account, then tap Settings > Upken Pro > Restore purchases.
